In the scale model project me and will created a scale model of a climbing wall. The project was to create a model of a structure that would be used to relieve stress. There is a lot of interest to have a climbing wall at HTH so my group decided to design one. The Scale model is 1/24 the size of how big the actual installment. What we did in math was create the model.
We made our model out of foam board, cardboard, popsicle sticks, and used a hot glue gun to combine them. For math we had to make a page of calculations that would say the area and surface area of your shapes. Even though area was irrelevant to our model we still were required to list it. The hardest part was the calculations because our model was comprised of a lot of shapes and finding the area of the scale model and actual model took a lot of time. I had a lot of fun designing our model and building it, and i'm glad I can use it to try to build a climbing wall. |
Concept Board: The concept board was a week longer project were we drafted what we wanted our scale model to look like. The concept board holds images of colors we want, ideas, and feelings we want to incorporate. This was our groups final draft of our concept board. |
